COMPETENT PERSON TRAINING –TRENCHING & EXCAVATION
Have a professional trainer conduct a Competent Person for Excavation Training Course for your group. The class is based on the requirements of Subpart P of the Federal OSHA CFR 1926 construction standards for excavations. However, we also address any nuances that may appear in state OSHA regulations, where applicable.
The OSHA Construction Standard defines a competent person as someone who is:
- capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings, or
- working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees, and
- who has authorization to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate them.
